From July 16–19, the U16 Lithuanian national team will participate in a control tournament in Turkey, where they will face teams from Germany and Croatia.
In the other group, Turkey, Greece, and Latvia will play. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals.
“Preparation is going according to plan. We are simply doing our job and trying to prepare as best as possible for the European Championship and to honorably represent Lithuania’s name on the international stage,” says the national team’s head coach D. Petraitis.
From July 21–28, the Lithuanians will continue their preparation in Druskininkai, and from July 29 to August 1, they will participate in the Baltic Cup held in Latvia.

Before departing for the European Championship, the Lithuanians will hold a short three-day camp in Kaunas.
The Old Continent’s championship in Romania will take place from August 7–15.
The Lithuanian youth team in Group A will face teams from Serbia, Poland, and the host Romania.
