The Government approved the expansion of the Culture Pass for preschoolers and children in Lithuanian schools

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the Government’s conclusion prepared by the Ministry of Culture, which proposed to agree with the suggestion of Seimas members conservative Vytautas Juozapaitis, democrat Agnė Jakavičiūtė-Miliauskienė, and former parliamentarian “valstietis” Eugenijus Jovaiša to establish that Culture Passport services would also be provided to children participating in preschool and pre-primary education programs, but proposed to the parliamentarians to improve them.

According to the proposal, from 2028 about 100 thousand preschool-aged children could use the Culture Passport, and from 2029 about 10 thousand persons studying in Lithuanian education institutions abroad, except those operating in sanctioned countries.
