Arriving in Kaunas, the 208 cm tall player gave his first interview to “Žalgiris TV,” where he shared fun stories from his trip to Lithuania, fans he already met on the plane, and thoughts about the upcoming season.
“I’m just happy to be here – I can’t wait to see the city, the team, and prepare for the season. I already managed to meet a few fans – on the same plane, I flew with a person who was wearing a green sweater. And I saw a logo that was in “Žalgiris” colors but looked older. Then I found an old “Žalgiris” logo online, and it looked the same, so it was very nice to meet fans already on the plane,” shared K. Akobundu-Ehiogu with a smile.
The new Žalgiris player said he is eagerly awaiting a meeting with another team newcomer – Jonas Valančiūnas.

“I am ready to compete in the EuroLeague; it will be a whole different level. I want to meet Jonas Valančiūnas and learn from him. It’s funny because I used to play him in “NBA 2K,” and now we will be teammates, so I really want to meet him,” added the tall player.
