The bird and the 11-year-old daughter of Kubilius, Matilda, had an important role: she will remember it for a long time

Children’s Line events are not new to Matilda. True, the first acquaintance remains only in video material and family stories. At just two years old, she appeared with her brothers Simon and Titus in the organization’s social clip, which also featured Merūnas, Vilija Matačiūnaitė, Donatas Montvydas, and other well-known Lithuanian people. This time everything is different: she is awaiting a big stage, a live event, and the role of a host, which she will surely remember.

The Kubilius family’s connection with Children’s Line has lasted for many years. Matilda’s mother Laura Paukštė volunteered at Children’s Line for five years and was a volunteer teacher, while her father Dominykas Kubilius has contributed to the creation of several social campaigns for the organization, helping to spread the message about the difficulties children face and the help available to them.

The production company “Tym Drym,” led by Matilda’s parents, is also the producer of today’s concert. “It may sound immodest, but today we really feel like a dream team in the family – happy that we can create such an important support concert for Children’s Line,” says D. Kubilius.

Matilda prepared seriously for the event: she learned the text, chose the outfit with her mother, and has already met the other concert hosts. Preparation had to be coordinated with the just-started school and clubs.

“The most exciting thought is that I will be able to speak on a big stage and many people will hear me. The hardest part is probably managing everything – preparing for the event, going to school, and attending clubs at the same time,” admits the 11-year-old.

The efforts will be rewarded by the meetings the girl looks forward to no less than going on the big stage. Especially with the band “Lemon Joy,” whose concert she recently attended with her mother. Another joy for Matilda is meeting one of her favorite YouTubers, Akvilė Knyguolis.

“She is very beautiful, cool, and kind-hearted,” says the young host about her older colleague. They will both host the concert together with Rolandas Mackevičius and Eglė Jurgaitytė.

The topic of Children’s Line is familiar to Matilda not only from events. She says she sometimes hears stories from peers that are not easy for them to tell either parents or friends.

“I don’t want to tell them because if friends tell me something personally, I can’t share it with others. Sometimes I get emotional hearing difficult stories, but I try to listen to and comfort my friends,” says the youngest host of the “For Children” event.

When she feels sad or worried herself, Matilda first tries to think about good and funny things, and if she wants to talk, she usually turns to her mom or dad. “Sometimes it’s hard to talk because you don’t know how the other person will react. But when I open up, it’s much easier,” she says.

Unexpected musical meetings on stage

Matilda’s awaited “Lemon Joy” is just one of the evening’s musical names. The concert will also feature Inga Jankauskaitė, Paulina Paukštaitytė, Vidas Bareikis, Ieva Narkutė, “8 Kambarys,” “The Roop,” Silvester Belt, “Biplan,” Justas Pečeliūnas, and other performers.

Some of them will not take the stage alone. Justas Pečeliūnas will start the concert together with the Panevėžys “Purpurinis” choir, and children from the “HEY” studio will join the performances of Paulina Paukštaitytė, Vidas Bareikis, and Inga Jankauskaitė.

Well-known songs will also be played: “The Roop” will perform “Chiva Chico,” “Lemon Joy” – “Žinai,” Vidas Bareikis with the “HEY” children – “Aš nepamesiu savo dainos,” “Biplan” – “Pakeleivis.” At the end of the concert, one of the evening’s ambassadors, Silvester Belt, will take the big stage with the song “Tyliai tyliai.”

Children will be able to call the concert ambassadors

While the concert takes place in the Town Hall Square, the LNK studio will become the Children’s Line embassy for one evening. Throughout the concert, well-known Lithuanian people will be waiting for viewers’ calls there.

A special “Ambassadors’ Line” phone number will be announced during the live broadcast. Viewers who call will be able to chat live with Giedrius Savickas, Indrė Kavaliauskaitė, Goda Problema, Rūta Ašvydytė, Lion Ceccah, Silvester Belt, Orijus Gasanovas, or Dainius Rapšys. After their performance in Town Hall Square, Justas Pečeliūnas will also join them.

Viewers who call the “Ambassadors’ Line” number will be able to talk directly, “ear to ear,” with famous people. And they will decide for themselves what the conversation will be about.

The “For Children” concert will start today at 7:30 PM in Vilnius Town Hall Square and will be broadcast live on LNK.

Viewers will also be able to support Children’s Line activities by calling the short number 1497. One call’s support is 5 euros.
