In the lineup, soldiers were greeted, thanked for their service, and wished to join the ranks of professional military service in the Naval Forces by the Chief of the Defense Staff, Rear Admiral Giedrius Premeneckas, Commander Gediminas Šimkevičius, commander of the General Kazimieras Nestoras Sapiega Rifle Battalion, instructors, soldiers’ relatives, and friends.

During the ceremony, soldiers were awarded certificates of appreciation, and distinguished soldiers were promoted to higher military ranks. The best soldier was chosen to be sailor Nojus Brukštus, who was awarded the Naval Forces medal “For Exemplary Service” for his exemplary service.
At the beginning of the service, soldiers completed the Basic Soldier Course, during which they learned fundamental soldier skills: tactics, engineering, topography, medicine, and other important subjects for a soldier. Later, soldiers acquired specialized knowledge and were trained as specialists in various fields – guides, signalers, senior riflemen, machine gunners, grenade launchers, sharpshooters, and rescue riflemen. During the service in the Protection Company, soldiers participated in field tactical exercises, during which they trained to execute commanders’ orders under various tactical conditions and to act cohesively as a team defending the Republic of Lithuania.
