Police were called to a luxury residential neighborhood in Bang Phli city, Thailand, on July 7 around 3 p.m., after receiving reports of a man behaving strangely, who later climbed into the water.

After about half an hour of searching, divers found the body of US citizen Connor Michael Murphy about 20 meters from the shore, local media report.
No signs of violence were found on the 32-year-old man’s body. The body was handed over to forensic experts, and preliminary data suggest that the cause of death was drowning.
Just before the accident, Connor reportedly returned to the residential neighborhood by taxi and behaved unusually, said a security guard of the area.
According to him, the man began shouting loudly, rolling on the road, and raising his hands as if praying. Later, he allegedly ran into the area, dived into a lake about 10 meters deep, and swam until he ran out of strength. Then he submerged underwater and did not reappear.
Witnesses did not enter the water due to the great depth of the lake, reports “NeedToKnow”.
It is reported that Connor and his girlfriend had been dating for about three years. Although they previously lived separately, about three months ago they moved together into a rented house valued at about 22 million Thai baht (about 575 thousand euros).

The 22-year-old woman said it was the first time Connor had behaved like this, and she had no idea what could have provoked such behavior.
According to her, it all started the previous night when, while she was sleeping, Connor allegedly splattered paint all over their rented house.
It is reported that police officers found two unused syringes on the driver’s seat in Connor’s car, and several unidentified white pills on his waist in his handbag.
The woman said she had never seen him use drugs.
The house owner was shocked to see the paint-splattered residence – paint was on the furniture, electrical appliances, and other household items.
Connor had amassed nearly three million followers and subscribers on social media. There he shared comedic content, bodybuilding and fitness tips, and reflections on philosophical topics.
