„South Park“ creators mocked Donald Trump: the series renamed itself to „South America“

Donald Trump has recently paid a lot of attention to the names of geographical objects. The US president signed an order to rename Lake Ontario to “America Lake.” This is not his first such decision: earlier, the Gulf of Mexico was renamed to the “Gulf of America.”

Over the weekend, Trump also suggested calling New Mexico “New America,” and in one of his latest posts created with the help of artificial intelligence, it was even claimed that the Moon belongs to America.

As D. Trump tries to rename a gulf, a lake, a state, and perhaps even a celestial body with the name “America,” a TV series decided to make it even easier for him – it renamed itself.

“South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone announced that their series is changing its name. From now on, it will be called not “South Park,” but “South America.” The name change will take place just before the premiere of the new season, scheduled for next week.

The popular satirical animated series has never shied away from mocking D. Trump and his outbursts, but this creators’ move is one of their latest attempts to make fun of him.

T. Parker and M. Stone stated:

“Inspired by the courage and patriotism of Apple and Google, we are changing the name of South Park to SOUTH AMERICA. We especially want to thank our main company Paramount – Skydance Capitulation.”

Recently, both Apple and Google have indeed reflected the geographical name changes initiated by D. Trump in their maps. Critics called such decisions “cowardly” and “weak.”

T. Parker and M. Stone have repeatedly satirically portrayed D. Trump and his administration. In episodes of the series, the US president was shown maintaining relations with the Devil, having very small genitalia, and former US Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem was depicted as a Botox-frozen puppy killer.

On Sunday, the creators of “South Park” also received their fifth Emmy award for the best animated series.

On this occasion, T. Parker and M. Stone did not miss the chance to mock D. Trump once again. On Instagram, they posted a photo in which the animated D. Trump holds an Emmy statuette, and his lower pants have slipped down to his ankles.

“Finally got your Emmy,” the caption above the photo reads.

This line is probably not accidental. Trump has repeatedly criticized television awards, as his reality show “The Apprentice,” which aired from 2004 to 2015, never managed to win an Emmy.

“The Emmys were terrible… absolutely the worst show,” D. Trump wrote on the social network X in 2012.

In another post, he added: “The Emmys are all politics, so despite the nominations, The Apprentice never won – although it should have won many times.”

The 29th season of the newly renamed “South America” will start on September 16. The series will be broadcast worldwide on the Paramount+ platform.
