As the ministry announced on Wednesday, funding will be planned for the first time over a three-year period, aiming to ensure the continuity of the centers’ activities, strengthen their ties with Lithuanian science and study institutions, and international academic partnerships.

“The centers of Lithuanian and Baltic studies today play a broader role than just organizing studies or scientific research. They bring together international academic communities, strengthen cultural ties with Lithuania, and contribute to fostering Lithuanian and Baltic identity,” said Minister Raminta Popovienė.
