Then M. Maldeikis missed a clearer party position on this issue. The MP also demanded that the party name potential conservative partners in the future.
M. Maldeikis sought for the conservatives to distance themselves from any possible alliances with the National Alliance after the upcoming Seimas elections.
The politician also criticized L. Kasčiūnas, who has been leading the party for a year, for a lack of leadership. Similar criticism was leveled at him by the former party leader Gabrielius Landsbergis.
V. Sinica, on 15min‘s show “Apkalbėkime. Su Tadu Ignatavičiumi” (Let’s Talk. With Tadas Ignatavičius), favorably assessed L. Kasčiūnas’s position of not drawing red lines for potential coalition partners in advance.

“Everyone must consider all possible options, except for coalitions with anti-state forces,” he is convinced.
Nevertheless, the only representative of the National Alliance in the Seimas believes that the new conservative leader will most likely not achieve his goal – to shift the party further to the right.
“I am skeptical about L. Kasčiūnas’s efforts. I don’t think he will succeed,” V. Sinica told 15min.
