Since the beginning of this year, when the bond price was 99,750 euros, it has dropped by 83.5%. At the end of July, the bond price was 36,000 euros.
In 2024, airBaltic issued bonds worth 380 million euros with an annual interest rate of 14.5% and a nominal value of 100,000 euros per bond. The Latvian government purchased 50 million euros worth of these bonds.
airBaltic has been looking for ways to stabilize the company’s financial position, attract an investor, and secure new financing for some time.

Last year, airBaltic group’s revenue increased by 4.2% to 779.344 million euros compared to 2024, while losses decreased 2.7 times to 44.337 million euros.
In 2025, the airline flew 5.2 million passengers – 1% more than in 2024.
