On Friday, B. Juškevičiūtė was 6th in the 100 m hurdles (13.09 sec.; season best; 1111 points), 22nd in the high jump (1.65 m; 795 points), 13th in the shot put (13.70 m; 774 points), and 8th in the 200 m run (23.73 sec., season best; 1007 points).

Long jump

On Saturday, the athlete started with the long jump event. In it, the Lithuanian recorded her best – third – attempt at 6.33 m (953 points), setting a personal record.

On her first attempt, the Lithuanian athlete jumped 6 m, and the second attempt was invalid.

The best long jump results were by Swiss Annik Kalin (6.81 m), German Sophie Weisenberg (6.56 m), and Irish Kate O’Connor (6.55 m).

After 5 events, B. Juškevičiūtė had 4640 points and was in 11th place overall.

The competition was led by A. Kalin, who had 4955 points and was just one point ahead of Sofie Dokter from the Netherlands. Third was K. O’Connor (4949).

Javelin throw

In the sixth event – the javelin throw – B. Juškevičiūtė threw the implement 47.10 m, achieving her best season result (previously 45.44 m). This performance allowed the Lithuanian representative to take 5th place in the event and earn 804 points.

The best was the Lithuanian’s second attempt. On the first throw, she recorded 44.10 m, and the third was invalid.

The longest javelin throws this time were by another Dutch representative Emma Oosterwegel (51.49 m), Portuguese Jessica Barreira (51.19 m), and K. O’Connor (50.16 m).

This performance allowed the Irish athlete to rise to first place overall. Before the last event, K. O’Connor has 5812 points and leads Emma Oosterwegel (5761), who moved up to second, and compatriot S. Dokter (5741), who dropped down.

B. Juškevičiūtė, with 5444 points, moved up to 10th place overall.

The competition will conclude with the heptathletes running the 800 m event (21:45).

The European Championships in Birmingham is the second for B. Juškevičiūtė in her career. In 2024 in Rome, she placed 13th (6025 points).
