The accelerating development of artificial intelligence and digital technologies is fundamentally changing the labor market, making the attraction of specialists with global experience one of the most important factors for business transformation and Lithuania’s competitiveness.
“Today Lithuania competes not only for investments or technologies – first and foremost, we compete for people. Every year, our most talented students go to the best universities in the world, work in international organizations, and gain experience needed for a modern economy. Our goal is to show that a world-class career can be built in Lithuania as well. We want this initiative to be an invitation for talents to return, and at the same time an incentive for other Lithuanian companies to contribute to the common goal,” says Eglė Rakauskienė, Director of Strategic Analysis and Business Transformation at “Senukai.”
Who is invited to participate in the program?
The program is intended for Lithuanians who are currently studying or working abroad and are considering continuing their careers in Lithuania. Candidates are invited to apply if they have completed or are completing bachelor’s or master’s studies at foreign universities in various fields, especially those with competencies in artificial intelligence, data analytics, technology, e-commerce, supply chain, business transformation, product development, finance, and other strategic areas.
The most important selection criteria are high professional potential, international experience, leadership skills, and motivation to contribute to Lithuania’s future with their knowledge. The greatest attention will be given to candidates’ potential, ability to create change, and desire to apply international experience in building Lithuania’s future.
Selected program participants will receive a competitive salary, a one-year professional growth program, personal mentorship from leaders, and the opportunity to work on strategic projects at the Baltic regional level. From the first day of work, they will contribute to artificial intelligence, digitalization, and business transformation projects shaping the future of one of the largest companies in the Baltic countries. Those who successfully complete the program will be offered long-term career opportunities within the company.
A strategic investment in Lithuania’s future
The “100 talents for Lithuania” program is one of the most important initiatives of “Senukai”’s long-term business transformation strategy. The company consistently invests in artificial intelligence, digitalization, productivity improvement, business transformation, and expansion in the Baltic countries, making the attraction of specialists with global experience one of the most important competitive advantages.

“Artificial intelligence, digitalization, and business transformation are changing the entire retail sector today. To remain leaders, we must not only invest in technologies but also attract people who will create, implement, and be able to turn those technologies into real business value. Therefore, investment in talent is one of the most important long-term investments in the competitiveness of our organization and all of Lithuania. That is why investment in people today becomes one of the most important investments in organizational transformation and the ability to create long-term value,” says E. Rakauskienė.
20 talents will be selected annually
Over five years, it is planned to attract 100 talents, selecting 20 participants each year. According to the company, the initiative will significantly contribute to the creation of new competencies, faster business transformation, and strengthening Lithuania’s competitiveness in the international talent market.
“We believe that talent repatriation cannot be the goal of a single company – it is a matter of Lithuania’s overall competitiveness. We invite other companies, universities, business organizations, and government institutions in the country to join the initiative. The more opportunities we offer Lithuanians with global experience, the greater the chance they will choose to build their future in Lithuania. We want the program to bring together everyone who cares about Lithuania’s future,” says E. Rakauskienė.
