Emeli Sandé (real name – Adele Emeli Sandé) is a British singer, songwriter, and pianist, famous for her powerful, emotional voice and a blend of soul, R&B, and pop music.

She was born on March 10, 1987, in Sunderland (England) and grew up in Scotland. Her father is from Zambia, and her mother is English.
Interestingly, before fully immersing herself in music, Emeli studied medicine at the University of Glasgow. However, after achieving success as a songwriter and performer, she decided to drop out of her studies and dedicate all her attention to her musical career.

She gained the most recognition in 2012 when she released her debut album “Our Version of Events”. The album became one of the best-selling in the United Kingdom and spawned hits such as “Next To Me”, “Heaven”, “Clown”, “Read All About It”.
These songs are distinguished by sensitive lyrics and powerful vocals.

One of the most memorable moments of her career was her performance at the 2012 London Olympic Games opening and closing ceremonies – she was the only musician to perform at both events.

In addition to her solo career, Emeli Sandé has written songs for other well-known artists, including Alicia Keys and Leona Lewis.
