“Samsung,” one of the key players in the rapidly developing artificial intelligence (AI) sector with its highly advanced memory chips, recently completed complex negotiations with the largest trade union regarding bonuses and avoided a major strike that raised concerns about potential impacts on the country’s economy. According to the agreement, based on annual operating profit forecasts, about 78,000 employees of the chip manufacturing division – out of 125,000 company employees in the country – are entitled to receive a bonus of approximately 330,000 USD this year.
