„Another incident over the Baltic Sea involving a Russian Il-20 reconnaissance aircraft. Our fighters intercepted a Russian plane 40 km north of Ustka, which was flying without identification devices and posed a threat to civil aviation. Polish airspace was not violated,“ wrote W. Kosiniak-Kamysz on the social network X.
This is not the first incident of this kind in recent weeks.
Previously, Polish fighters intercepted a Russian reconnaissance aircraft over the Baltic Sea on Monday, 30 km north of Leba. That aircraft also did not violate Polish airspace.
