According to it, this decision was made due to outrage, as Ruslan was notorious for scandalous behavior.

“Responding to information that appeared in the public space about
possible inappropriate behavior, we decided not to provide the stage to Ruslan Kirilkin at the @Lithuanian Pride concert.

We appreciate Ruslan’s contribution as one of the first Lithuanian performers to openly speak about his sexual orientation to the visibility of the LGBT community, but the performers at our concert must be role models for our community,” reads the Lithuanian Gay League page.

Žmonės.lt contacted R. Kirilkin, who did not want to comment on the situation.

“I will refrain from comments,” he told Žmonės.lt.

Žmonės.lt reminds that although we will no longer see R. Kirilkin on the Mountain Park stage, other Lithuanian and foreign performers will appear here. Among them are Spanish Eurovision stars Nebulossa, Lithuania’s representative in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest Lion Ceccah, French performer Savanah, Sandra Carrillo, and drag culture performers LaDiva Live (Belgium) and Catherine d’Oex (Switzerland). The concert will be hosted by the charming drag culture icons Aura More and Edma.

The concert is organized by the National LGBT Rights Organization LGL, in cooperation with the association “Music Awards of the Year” (M.A.M.A.). The organizers invite everyone – members of the LGBT community, allies, Vilnius residents, and city guests – to gather to celebrate diversity, equality, and the right to be yourself.

The concert will start at 17:00 immediately after the “For Equality!” march, whose theme this year is “All families in Lithuania are important.” March participants will gather from 12:00 near the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania and march along Gediminas Avenue towards Mountain Park.

The organizers of “Lithuanian Pride” 2026 emphasize that the festival and its events are open to all who support human rights, equality, and an inclusive society.
