S. Bartkus does not hide that although this step was not planned in advance, it became a serious challenge for the entire team.
“It so happened that we did not plan this at all this year, but such a decision was made at the beginning of summer. It’s like everything is as before, but I think for the whole team it is an incentive to improve, bring something new, find original solutions. Of course, it is a huge challenge for everyone,” said S. Bartkus in the tv3.lt podcast “Let’s Talk”.
When R. Šakalyte asked what was the decisive turning point that prompted him to leave the long-time television home, the producer named routine and an unacceptable attitude towards forced innovations.
“It’s hard to say. Maybe it all became too much of a routine. When changes happen just for the sake of changes – I don’t like that. If we try to overcome routine with artificial changes, ignoring accumulated experience, when they want to wipe out everything that was done before, how people were raised – I really didn’t like that,” S. Bartkus spoke openly.
The producer emphasizes that he is not opposed to innovations, but according to him, they should not blindly destroy long-term and consistent work.
“I’m not saying there are no changes now – there are, everything is fine, but they are not so drastic. We had reached such a level there that, for example, ‘KK2 Fridays’ was not supposed to remain at all: no hosts, no show itself – nothing,” Saulius said in the “Let’s Talk” podcast.
