The short message states that the British taekwondo athlete Isabel Sawa died in her sleep due to cardiac arrest. Medics still tried to resuscitate her but were powerless.
The law student was considered a promising athlete and held a second-degree black belt. In 2022, she won a silver medal at the World Taekwondo Championship held in the Netherlands.
The report does not provide any other data about the possible cause of death. It is unclear where the Facebook user learned about the connection with vaccines.

No information was found online in the media or other reliable sources that such an athlete died from any vaccine. Such connections were seen only by social media commentators.

Using the Google search engine, information about the death of Isabelle Sava – her real name – is easy to find in the British media.
“A teenage world taekwondo championship medalist and future lawyer died in her sleep due to cardiac arrest,” reported the portal thesun.co.uk on August 21.
It states that I. Sava was preparing to start her second year of law studies at Queen Mary University of London. Her life ended on August 17 despite desperate efforts by emergency medical personnel.
Grieving parents Laura and Ovi Sava told journalists that their daughter had been actively involved in sports for more than ten years and had achieved a lot: she held a second dan black belt and participated in international competitions. In 2022, the teenager took part in the World Taekwondo Championship in the Netherlands and won a silver medal in one event.
Similar articles appeared on the portals mirror.co.uk, metro.co.uk. The tragedy is also mentioned on the crowdfunding site GoFundMe, where family friends have started raising money for funeral and other expenses.
Nowhere is COVID-19 or any other vaccines mentioned as a possible cause of I. Sava’s death, nor about her seeking medical help after the second dose.
From these reports, it is not even clear whether the girl was vaccinated against coronavirus at all, so such speculations on social networks are speculation repeating falsehoods spread during the pandemic about alleged deaths of famous people from vaccines.
