„Last Train“ was recorded by Raimonda together with jazz docent Jan Jarecki, a representative of the Gdansk Music Academy. This time, only two instruments sound in the song – Raimonda’s voice and the piano. This decision allows the song to remain close to the listener and reveal its emotional core.
However, this is only the first stage of „Last Train“. Raimonda is already preparing a full arrangement of the song, with which she plans to submit the piece to the Lithuanian national „Eurovision“ selection.
„I wanted first to show the song as it is – without heavy layering, without trying to hide anything. Just the voice, piano, and the song itself. Later it will gain a different, bigger sound, but it was important for me to preserve this first, very live version; we recorded Last Train this September and immediately had the idea to use it in the Eurovision concept,“ says Raimonda.
„Last Train“ – a new stage
This piece becomes symbolic for Raimonda also because of what is happening in her life. This year she returned to live in Lithuania with her three-year-old daughter and started a new professional and creative stage.
Since September 1st, Raimonda has been studying at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA), in the ethnomusicology program. A performer who has professionally created and performed in jazz, soul, gospel, and pop music for many years is now delving into Lithuanian musical heritage and folklore.
„I think everything is very connected. I returned to Lithuania, started studying ethnomusicology, am looking at my roots anew, and at the same time creating a new stage as a performer and author. „Last Train“ is about moving forward – about the moment when you realize that a certain stage has ended and you need to get on another train,“ Raimonda says.

Raimonda Masiulytė is known in the professional music scene as a jazz and multi-genre vocalist and songwriter. Her musical experience includes performances with the Dublin Gospel Choir, television projects, and major stages, as well as original creations combining elements of jazz, soul, swing, gospel, pop, and indie music.
Now, having returned to Lithuania, Raimonda aims to merge these different experiences into a new creative sound.
Birthday with a new beginning
The day of the „Last Train“ performance coincides with Raimonda’s own birthday.
„This year I am celebrating my birthday very differently. I am in Lithuania, my daughter is beside me, I started my studies, and I am releasing a song that marks a new beginning for me personally. So it feels meaningful to share „Last Train“ today,“ says the performer.
„Last Train“ is the first stop of Raimonda’s new creative stage. The full arrangement of the song and the planned participation in the Lithuanian „Eurovision“ selection will be another step in her journey.
