“Systems work most effectively when they scale. Defense is impossible without universal preparedness, and there can be no doubt about that.” – says Tesonet co-founder Eimantas Sabaliauskas. According to him, the experience proven in Lithuania can later be applied in other countries of the group, for example in Poland. Currently, more than 4600 employees work in Tesonet group companies.

The employers’ initiative of the “Universal Defense” association is intended for working people who voluntarily choose mandatory initial military service. Its goal is to help employees maintain income during the service period. Employer support complements the benefits paid by the state.
According to the head of the association, Tomas Godliauskas, employers can choose different ways to encourage employees. The most important thing is that a person who chooses service receives support not only from the state but also from the employer.

On September 10, “Hostinger,” “Telia,” and “Omnisend” also announced joining the employers’ initiative.
Companies joining the employers’ initiative will formally confirm their commitments with signatures during the Universal Defense forum, which will take place on September 17 at the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Lithuania.
