“Putin ordered no strikes on Kyiv for three days starting from midnight today,” said D. Peskov.
According to D. Peskov, the temporary halt of strikes on Kyiv is related to preparations for the visit of US representatives and their meetings in the Ukrainian capital.
“The halt of strikes on Kyiv is connected with the preparation and progress of meetings of American negotiators taking place there,” said D. Peskov.
At the same time, the Kremlin announced that a meeting of V. Putin with S. Witkoff and J. Kushner is scheduled in Moscow today.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday proposed a ceasefire with Russia during the visit of US envoys.

US President on Friday announced sending Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Moscow and Kyiv. This is the latest Washington attempt to break the diplomatic deadlock in the bloodiest conflict in Europe since World War II.

Russia struck a civilian target in the Dnipro region at night, killing four people, and also attacked two Kyiv airports, V. Zelensky reported, accusing the Kremlin of trying to sabotage the envoys’ visit.
