“Your excellent achievements are not only success but above all the result of perseverance, consistent work, and lively curiosity. These are important human qualities that I wish you never lose,” said the Prime Minister.
He spoke this way on Thursday at a Government event honoring high school graduates and vocational school graduates who passed the maturity and vocational qualification exams and the International Baccalaureate diploma program exams with the highest marks.
Minister of Education, Science and Sports Raminta Popovienė emphasized that the knowledge, talent, and ideas of graduates are needed for Lithuania.
“Our state needs your curiosity, your creativity, your courage to take responsibility and create the future. I believe in you. I believe that your knowledge, talent, and values will help build a Lithuania where it is good to live. Congratulations and I wish you courage to boldly follow your path,” R. Popovienė is quoted.
Thank-you notes and symbolic gifts – Lithuanian historical flags – were presented to the best graduates.

According to Government data, this year at least 839 young people received a perfect score of one hundred points in the maturity exams.
Among them, 635 graduates received one, 140 – two perfect scores. 44 graduates were rated with the maximum score in three exams, 15 graduates in four, four graduates in five, and one graduate in six exams.
In total, graduates who received a hundred points for state maturity exams come from 46 of Lithuania’s 60 municipalities.
At the beginning of the event, a moment of silence was held in memory of a graduate who died in a traffic accident in Ažulaukė village on July 23, who received five perfect scores.
