“Fans can expect a genuine, sincere, and energy-radiating rock concert blast. Looking back, in 1989 there was a grand Lithuanian rock festival that featured as many as 26 bands.

It was one of the largest and most massive events in our music history – alongside the “Rock Marches,” these Rock festivals were characterized by a very large audience and lasted for three days.

For us, at the dawn of Lithuania’s independence, it was extremely important to participate and thus express our civic position. We have carried this emotion of unity, freedom, and the undying spirit of rock through all 40 years and bring it straight to this jubilee concert,” said the band’s leader Šarūnas Mačiulis.

Š. Mačiulis “Šaras” also revealed the special significance of Kaunas to all band members, as most of them have relatives here or come from the temporary capital themselves, so the Kaunas character, as the band leader said, is familiar and will ensure a great concert where there will be no barrier between the band on stage and the gathered audience.

“We know that Kaunas is a special city that values openness and sincerity the most. We hope to receive a great audience reaction, a sense of unity, and that everyone leaving after the concert will feel uplifted, recharged with live energy and good emotions,” added the leader of “Polarized Glasses.”

“There will definitely be a lot of nostalgia, but it will be bright and inspiring. Together we will remember both the spirit of freedom of the 1989 Rock festival and all 40 years spent with the listeners. We will prepare a special program for the concert, in which our long-standing experience, energy, and visual solutions will intertwine live, helping to relive the most beautiful moments of the band’s existence together.

It will not only be a look into the past but also a living proof that true rock does not age,” revealed Š. Mačiulis.

The 40th birthday concert of the “Polarized Glasses” band will take place at the Kaunas Sports Hall on November 27. Tickets are sold by Bilietai.lt
