After meetings at the Pentagon and the US State Department, M.Sobkowiak-Czarnecka stated that this proposal was made taking into account US President Donald Trump’s remarks at the Ankara summit regarding the possible construction of a “Patriot” factory in Ukraine.

She indicated that Poland proposed trilateral cooperation that would help allay US security concerns by relocating missile production to a safe location. M.Sobkowiak-Czarnecka added that the global demand for “Patriot” missiles is high, and further negotiations between these three countries are yet to take place.

The Deputy Minister also informed that the US has established a working group preparing for the establishment of a permanent US military base in Poland.
