As previously 15min explained, people close to G. Klimkevičius said the businessman had agreed to acquire two companies. One company, which he had fully acquired, is intended to carry out activities in the castle and its territory: hotel, restaurant, event organization, etc.

“According to French terminology, this is an SAS company, the closest Lithuanian equivalent would be a UAB. He acquired this company with already significant debts,” said representatives of G. Klimkevičius.
According to them, the other company is an SCI – in Lithuanian it would be a real estate civil company, which owns the castle building itself. The acquisition deal for this company was not completed.

They explained that in France it is common practice to separate real estate and operational companies.
One company apparently already has a different owner. The French website lamontagne.fr reported that the mentioned castle has a new owner.
