According to Ryčys Polikauskas, acting General Director of “Regitra,” even with excellent preparation for the driving exam, anxiety or tension can get in the way. “We take care not only of the course of the driving exams but also talk a lot about how to manage anxiety and stress in real-time practice. We listen to our clients and what is important to them, and it is especially relevant for a future driver to show all their knowledge and not let anxiety get in the way.

I sincerely want to invite all current and future drivers, and most importantly – everyone who is still planning to take the driving exams – to visit the “Regitra” open door days,” said R. Polikauskas.

Practical sessions

During the event, Lithuanian Red Cross volunteers, who have considerable experience conducting first psychological aid and emotional support principles training, will talk about stress as our body’s reaction to challenging situations, ways to recognize it, and how to take care of your emotional health. Future drivers and their relatives will not only have the opportunity to try stress management techniques live but will also understand during practical exercises how colors and sounds can help manage anxiety.

“The ability to recognize stress, manage it, and maintain emotional balance helps to feel more confident and calm during the exam, and at the same time reduces the likelihood of making mistakes just because of anxiety. Therefore, participating in the “Regitra” open door days and communicating with future drivers seems very meaningful and necessary to us,” said Naomi Koc, training coordinator of the Lithuanian Red Cross Academy.

Inviting to register

Event visitors will be able to familiarize themselves with the theory exam process from registration, item storage to metal detector check, sit at computers themselves, and try a trial exam. There will also be a practical introduction to the exam cars.

Guests will be invited to get inside, adjust the seat, steering wheel, mirrors, and ask questions to the nearby examiner. This opportunity can be useful for future drivers who are still planning to take the practical driving exam. “Regitra” examiners are convinced that getting acquainted with the environment and seeing the car up close before the exam can help avoid anxiety on the knowledge test day.

Projects helping to overcome anxiety

“Regitra” has been developing various projects for years that help overcome anxiety and effectively prepare for both theory and practical driving exams. Future drivers who want to dispel uncertainty can try a free trial theory exam, watch video driving lessons, and detailed visual material about how the process will proceed step by step.

There is also an opportunity to view exam cars in 360 degrees and get acquainted with driving school statistics. Support for all those just starting their driving journey is also provided by the “You can do it” project, the “Safe Start” conference, and soon videos answering the most important last-minute questions before the exam will appear.
