Among 32 European countries, Lithuania ranks third after Denmark (67.86 points) and Finland (64.53 points) and received an overall score of 62.05 points. Estonia (61.45 points) took fourth place, while Latvia was in 23rd place (32.59 points), according to the company’s statement.

Countries were evaluated based on 13 indicators, including AI usage in the business sector, cloud service implementation, digital infrastructure, workforce digital skills, and economic growth in recent years. All data was taken from the European Union’s statistical office Eurostat.

According to Leadfeeder, “Lithuania leads the continent in growth rate in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and digital intensity.”

“Lithuania is one of the standout stories of this year’s ranking. It ranks first in overall growth, rapidly increasing cloud technology adoption, digital intensity, and artificial intelligence usage. AI implementation grew more than threefold during the study period. Although the current level still lags behind leading countries, the pace of change is hard to miss. Lithuania has established itself as a regional technology and fintech hub, and this momentum clearly drives company adoption. If current trends continue, it would not be surprising if Lithuania rises even higher in future rankings,” the study authors state.

They say the Baltic countries are the biggest surprise in Europe, as they manage to implement AI faster than many Western European countries, despite having smaller economies.
