Minister of Social Security and Labour Inga Ruginienė hoped that the agency led by O. Polevikova would timely hear the needs of youth and effectively implement state decisions for young people.

“Currently, the agency also faces additional strategically important tasks: consistently improving the quality of services and measures for youth, properly preparing for youth-related events during Lithuania’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and ensuring smooth administration of alternative national defense service,” said the minister.

O. Polevikova, leading the Youth Affairs Agency, hopes to use her experience in leadership, working with people, education, and strategic management.

“For me, this is an opportunity to contribute not only to the results of one organization but also to long-term change in society and the state. I believe that investing in young people is an investment in Lithuania’s future,” the new leader was quoted as saying in the statement.
