She said that she was afraid to go to television because she had heard that actors who graduated from acting schools did not belong there, but having gone to the audition, she was selected for the cast of the series “Love Heals.”

After that, the actress’s career accelerated even more, and she was invited to act in the series “Serious Matters,” where she played Iglė for seven years.
However, the end of this stage came, the well-known woman openly spoke about working on television and thanked her colleagues for the journey they had taken together.
She agreed to share the post also with the readers of the Žmonės.lt portal.
“I remember how afraid I was to go to television. It was the dark year of 2017, summer, a few days after I finished acting studies, when I received an offer to come to the LNK series audition. At that time, we were taught that the worst thing an actor could do for their career was to go to ‘television.’ So I hesitated. And I postponed the decision to the future, since going to the casting costs nothing, and if selected, then I would decide.
Well, guess what, I was selected…. In ancient Greek, the word καιρός means a situation during which a decision is made that determines your life. I think this was it because it essentially determined my acting career. It was the series “Love Heals” with the wonderful Laurynas Šeškus team at the forefront, a team I will remember and admire for life. Greetings to Robertas, Julija, and everyone who worked there – we all know how much fun we had creating together. Interestingly, this series also gave me one of my closest friends, Eglė, and a springboard to another well-known series, to which I will soon give 7 years of my life and grow up with it. “SERIOUS MATTERS”.
I never properly thanked you, Monika Vaičiulyte, when I received the wonderful call from Džiugas Siaurusaitis to come to the audition. I met Monika on the set of “Love Heals,” and I will never forget our conversation in the canteen… And just as you supported me, I want to support other beginning actresses (because, as my friend Greta says, “there is enough room under the sun for all of us”). Later, Monika mentioned my name to director Džiugas Siaurusaitis when he asked her which young actors to invite to the Serious Matters audition. So, καιρός.
Thus began the era of Iglė. An era in which I learned what it means to be absolutely adored and insanely hated. An era when at one time I would receive both dedicated poems and epithets starting with the letter k and ending with the letter urva via messenger.
Ironically, what was supposed to “ruin” me perfectly prepared me when film roles came. Because the camera became my friend, my partner. Acting in the series, I fully got used to it, which helps a lot when working on a film set. There you have it, καιρός.
This week, the ninth season of Serious Matters started, and I officially say goodbye to Iglė. Thank you, Džiugas Siaurusaitis, for believing in me and for not having a single day on set when we didn’t laugh together; I will miss that very much. Thank you, Andrius Urbanavičius, for welcoming me into this world so supportively, thank you to the scriptwriter Edvinas Kalėda for patience and listening to actors’ insights. Josif Baliukevič, thank you for the long-term partnership, hold the front and don’t die!! Sorry, Mantas Vaitiekūnas, for shooting you, I still carry this stone with me, Gabriele Malinauskaite Rudziene, it seems you will outlive us all, greetings to you.
