On Monday, a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, led by France and the United Kingdom (UK), will take place in Kyiv to discuss how to increase support for Ukraine and pressure on Russia as winter approaches.

“Norway’s support for Ukraine next year will remain at the same level as this year – 9 billion dollars, and this is a record amount,” Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre told journalists.
Norway states that the majority of this support will go to the Ukrainian military.
Since 2022, when Russia began its invasion, Kyiv has faced a huge funding shortage.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that his military lacks 27 billion dollars (23.08 billion euros), but did not provide more precise details.
He urged the European Union to advance part of the payments from the 90 billion euro loan to cover this shortfall within this year.

V. Zelensky warned that if about 10 billion dollars (8.55 billion euros) is not received by the end of the year, his troops will not have enough weapons.
Since 2022, Kyiv has relied on tens of billions of dollars in support to maintain its economy and ensure the military’s capacity to fight in the war.
On Sunday in Kyiv, on Ukraine’s National Flag Day, a meeting of the Northern and Baltic countries (NB8) leaders with V. Zelensky took place.
