In this district, covering the territories of Ignalina district and Visaginas municipality as well as the Salakas, Smalvos, and Turmantas polling districts in Zarasai district, voters will elect a new member of the Seimas in the autumn.
According to the provisions of the Election Code, the date of the early election of a member of the Seimas elected in a single-member electoral district shall be determined by a resolution of the Seimas no later than 30 days from the day the basis for holding these elections arose.
The elections must take place no later than 6 months from the basis for holding them.
