„In life, we meet people who affect us very strongly. Some believe in you even when you doubt yourself. Others gradually destroy that belief. I think one of the most painful consequences of such influence is when you start to hold yourself back. You don’t even need to say anything to that person because the doubts they planted are already carried in your mind,“ says Natalija.

In the first frames of the clip, a house burns behind the performer, and a witchy smile appears on her face. This image marks liberation from others’ judgments and the realization that you can create the life you have always dreamed of.
„The flames in the clip are symbolic, but the feeling from which this story was born will be familiar to many. You want to start something but don’t dare. You have a dream, but even before taking the first step, you already hear why you will fail. And you don’t always immediately realize that in your mind you are repeating someone else’s words,“ says N. Bunkė.

„I Can“ talks about the strength to break free from such influence, lift your head, and take up what matters to you again. However, this turning point is not always calm. Sometimes it includes anger and the desire for the person who belittled you to see how wrong they were.
That is why the burning house in the clip has another meaning – it symbolizes the world turned upside down of the one who previously destroyed yours. The person whose words once held you back can no longer stop you.

„There is a bit of witchiness and satisfaction in that smile. You straighten up, enjoy life again, climb higher. The person who didn’t believe in you sees that their words didn’t stop you. I wanted to convey that sweet feeling in the clip – karma does come back after all,“ says the performer.

According to Natalija, belittling does not necessarily come from a close person. Sometimes it fits into a single comment written as if someone else’s efforts, dreams, or achievements meant nothing. Although it is easy to advise ignoring it, other people’s words can remain in memory much longer than desired.
„You can’t pretend that nothing ever hurts. It does. But it would be very sad to give up your desires or stop doing what matters to you because of that. This song is about that moment when you still dare. When not everything is clear yet, but you already know you will try,“ says N. Bunkė.

In the released “I Can” video clip, the performer also reveals the uncomfortable side of liberation: sometimes it’s good to know that your success unsettles someone. Especially the one who tried so hard to convince you that you would fail. Natalija invites her listeners to dare to take that step that fear of what others will say or think has held back until now.
