„Mitjet“ tests in Estonia, Kaunas and at the „Red Bull Ring“ track
Regular tests and training are essential to achieve the highest results not only in „Mitjet Baltics“ but in all motorsport disciplines. Especially since 5 drivers still have a chance to fight for victories in the individual standings of the Baltic countries’ „Mitjet“ championship. A similar situation exists in the team standings – the winner is still unknown, many teams still have a chance to win the annual standings. And the unpredictability of the races was demonstrated by two completely different race days in Palanga. Therefore, there is no shortage of those wanting to train before the final stage. It will take place in Estonia, so on July 28, 7 „Mitjet“ cars rolled out to the Pärnu track. The capabilities of the cars were tested on the „Porsche Ring“ track by the „Baltic Karting Academy“, „Kado Auto EG/PX“ and „One Racing Shop – Freitron“ teams.
Two Estonians interested in joining the championship also joined the regular participants of the „Mitjet Baltics“ series. These are Mikk Maaten, who has accumulated extensive experience and now more often works as a team manager in races, and the young karting talent Theodor Toobal.
The Estonians were curious about what kind of car the „Mitjet 2L“ is and what its capabilities are. They were very surprised to see excellent lap times: the car does not look as fast at first glance as it can be on the track. In other words, when you drive the car on the track, you don’t feel like you are going that fast.
Other tests of „Mitjet Baltics“ were held at the home track – Kačerginė’s Nemunas ring together with the „Kado Auto EG/PX“ team. Here, drivers planning to join the „Mitjet“ championship from the second season could try out the cars.
“The tests involved drivers coming from karting, cars, and simulator worlds. For example, well-known motorsport figures such as Paulius Paškevičius, Rokas Markevičius, Mantas Pundys, and others. I think after these tests, 5 drivers could join „Mitjet Baltics“. Also, some athletes are interested in the possibility of creating their own team,” said driver and „Mitjet Baltics“ founder Povilas Jankavičius.

On August 10, he plans tests at the „Red Bull Ring“ track in Austria, and on August 27 at the „Porsche Ring“ track in Estonia.
Final stage at the Pärnu track: there will be guests
„Mitjet Baltics“ training, qualification, and two sprint races in Estonia will take place on August 28-29. The intrigue in these races is great not only because the winners in the individual and team standings will be revealed. The founder and owner of the Danish „JBJ Racing“ team Jesper Brunhøj Jensen will join the participants in Estonia. He is bringing his „Mitjet 2L“ car.
Another Danish motorsport talent also plans to participate in the races. It will be interesting to see how the guests will fare racing against Lithuanians?
“Interest in „Mitjet“ races is growing not only in Lithuania but also in the Baltic region. Especially after the Palanga races, where a very fierce battle took place, watched by tens of thousands of spectators. Therefore, it can be predicted that next year the series will have participants from other countries as well,” says P. Jankavičius, promising a particularly fierce fight for the championship titles in Estonia.
