“The nearest opportunity when the EC will allocate compensation to those affected by extreme weather conditions will be precisely after November. It is important for us to apply by October – we would still make it into this year’s consideration and then the funds would already be allocated for us in next year’s budget. It is important to react in time, because otherwise, if we miss the deadline, the opportunity to apply would only be in the spring,” K. Mažeika said to Žinių radijas on Thursday.
