The 2025-2026 season the tall player started in Germany, where he wore the Berlin ALBA club uniform, but in the middle of the season decided to return to Lithuania – to the Vilnius “Rytas” team.

In the LKL championship, the Lithuanian played 11 games during which he scored an average of 10.2 points, grabbed 5.9 rebounds, and recorded an average efficiency rating of 12.3.

“We are pleased to announce that we have signed a contract with Martynas Echodas for the 2026–2027 season. This addition reflects our consistent effort to assemble a roster capable of competing at the highest level both in the LKL and the European Cup tournaments. Martynas will bring quality, proven experience, and competitiveness to the team. We welcome him and wish him success in this new stage,” said sports director Branko Mirković about another new team member.

Last season M. Echodas raised the Champions League trophy together with the Vilnius “Rytas” team.

The new team member is also a player of the Lithuanian national team – in 2022 he participated in the European Championship and represented the country in both the European and World Championship qualifiers.
