Vladislovas Stasaitis was born in 1938. In 1961, he graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Kaunas Polytechnic Institute.
After receiving his civil engineer diploma, he came to work at the Klaipėda district inter-factory construction organization as chief engineer. In 1965, he was elected head of this organization and worked there until 1991.
Under his leadership, the district construction organization was the only one in the countryside and city carrying out construction and repair works. Over thirty years of work, many industrial, cultural, recreational facilities and residential buildings were built in Klaipėda district and city.
The employees of this organization also built complex buildings in the Šilalė, Šilutė, Kretinga districts and in the cities of Klaipėda, Palanga, and Neringa.
He helped build the prayer house – church of the Gargždai parish. A new exemplary production base with good working and rest conditions was built in the Gargždai industrial district, recognized nationwide.
The team consisted of more than 1,000 employees. They worked efficiently and quickly, earning respect among clients.

For many years, the organization led by Vladislovas Stasaitis was the winner of republican and then all-Union competitions, awarded monetary prizes, passing flags, diplomas, and was once entered on the honor board of the People’s Economy Achievements Exhibition in Moscow.
Vladislovas Stasaitis was respected among the working team, farm and district leaders, and the residents of Gargždai city. He was elected as a district council deputy for many years and was a member of several district public organizations.
For a long time, he was the deputy chairman of the parent committee of Gargždai 2nd secondary school (now “Krantas” progymnasium) and contributed greatly to strengthening the material base of the newly built school. For merits in construction and active participation in public life, Vladislovas Stasaitis was awarded the title of Honored Builder of the Republic in 1978.
The title of Honorary Citizen of Gargždai city was awarded to Vladislovas Stasaitis in 2008.
Farewell to the deceased can be held at the Gargždai church funeral chapel on Thursday (September 17) from 4 p.m.
Mass for the deceased will be held at Gargždai church on Friday (September 18) at 12 p.m. He will be buried at Laugaliai cemetery.
