According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the minister emphasized that Lithuania highly values friendly and strengthening relations with Thailand.
Referring to the history of relations established in 1923, K. Budrys expressed the expectation to further strengthen cooperation between the countries. According to the minister, Thailand remains one of Lithuania’s most important partners in Southeast Asia.
K. Budrys emphasized Lithuania’s interest in expanding economic partnership with Thailand and creating more favorable conditions for businesses in both countries.
“We aim to further strengthen economic ties between Lithuania and Thailand, promote investments, and create new opportunities for businesses in our countries,” K. Budrys is quoted in the statement.

The ministers also discussed cooperation opportunities in the field of cybersecurity.
“Cybersecurity today is an integral part of national security and economic prosperity. Lithuania is ready to share its experience in strengthening digital resilience and develop closer cooperation with Thailand in this area,” said K. Budrys.
The minister presented Lithuania’s competencies in the fields of lasers, life sciences, and financial technologies, and invited Thai companies and institutions to cooperate more actively with Lithuania.
Lithuania and Thailand restored diplomatic relations in 1993, with the Lithuanian embassy in Singapore accredited to Thailand.
