On Wednesday, basketball fans saw Sylvain Francisco’s handprint alongside those already immortalized of Arvydas Sabonis, Paulius Jankūnas, Mantas Kalnietis, Edgaras Ulanovas, Modestas Paulauskas, and other green and white legends at a special event.

“It is a great honor for me to be next to such names in Žalgiris history. Since arriving in Kaunas, I have felt great support from the fans, and such recognition only motivates me more. I am happy to leave my mark in this wonderful basketball city,” said S. Francisco immediately after the handprint unveiling ceremony.
The past two seasons have been very prominent for the Frenchman of Žalgiris – S. Francisco was one of the team leaders in the EuroLeague, standing out with scoring, creativity, and the ability to change the course of the game. His excellent play did not go unnoticed – this season he was selected to the symbolic EuroLeague players’ first team.
The “Stars Alley” has long been a place where basketball history and fans’ memories meet. We are glad that this year Sylvain Francisco was also immortalized here – a player whose performances on the court and connection with the team’s fans left a strong mark. The symbolic handprint unveiling event was full of good mood, fans’ smiles, and opportunities to interact with the player – attendees took photos, collected autographs, and celebrated another memorable Žalgiris moment together.
Located on Savanorių Avenue, the McDonald’s Stars Alley has long been an important meeting place for basketball fans. Also, in the McDonald’s restaurant here, you can closely admire impressive trophies, jerseys signed by famous basketball players, and already 24 handprints of Žalgiris players, now including S. Francisco.
