„All the steps of politicians, the Seimas, and the Government today, allocating resources to defense, coordinating their actions with allies, make Lithuania safer like never before,“ he noted.

According to J. Olekas, „with such an aggressor“ anything can happen, but Lithuania’s steps in defense ensure that it is increasingly difficult to violate the state borders.

„It is important that both the Lithuanian army, our allies, the incoming German army brigade, and the Americans who are with us send a signal that we are ready to minimize any possible provocations,“ emphasized the Speaker of the Seimas.

He spoke this way after the media reported on Thursday that Lithuanian military intelligence has data that Russia is considering attacks in the Baltic region against critical infrastructure, using captured Ukrainian drones to mislead.
