Italian media report that the Supreme Court rejected the woman’s request to award 2700 euros in compensation for emotional distress and economic damage.

The hotel’s lawyer Silvio Belardi told the newspaper Corriere Alto Adige that the court decided that “there is no obligation to provide tap water.” Previously, the woman’s claim was dismissed by several lower courts.

The woman claimed that her consumer rights were violated and that she suffered financial and moral damage.
