Polish broadcaster RMF24 reported on Friday that Slevin Dadyan, whose real name is Albert Vasiliev, may have become the target of a hitman hired by Russian intelligence services.

According to the publication, the rapper, who holds both US and Ukrainian citizenship, was in Poland when the country’s authorities prevented a planned attack.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated on Thursday that the country’s security services detained a Russian citizen who was tasked with killing a US and Ukrainian citizen considered inconvenient by Moscow. D. Tusk did not disclose the identity of the person targeted.
RMF24 reported that Slevin Dadyan was accused by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) of leading logistics operations to deliver drones to be used in attacks on strategic targets in Russia.
The report states that the drones were allegedly smuggled from Slovakia through Poland and Belarus. It also adds that Moscow accused the Ukrainian rapper, also known as Kyivstoner, of cooperating with Ukrainian intelligence services – these accusations he denies.

“The first such attempt”
D. Tusk said that this Russian conspiracy was “the first case where a person, acting under Russian orders, decided to carry out an attack against a US citizen on the territory of another NATO country.”
According to the Polish prime minister, the 29-year-old suspect was arrested on August 7, in cooperation with US authorities.
“At the last moment, thanks to the operation of the Polish internal security agencies and police, we managed to prevent this execution, this murder,” added D. Tusk, warning that the Kremlin will likely continue to try to “eliminate people it considers undesirable.”
Poland, a NATO member bordering both Russia and Ukraine, has long accused Moscow of carrying out sabotage acts, espionage, cyberattacks, and other hostile operations on its territory.
