Although the music video takes us to sunny California, its story is familiar to many. The piece tells about a couple who, after a conflict, give in to their egos – both are waiting for the first step, but neither dares to take it. Inside, they want to reconcile, but pride becomes the biggest obstacle. Sometimes it seems that the other side simply no longer wants to communicate, although in reality maybe they just… have no connection. This is how the song title – “Everything is so disconnected” – was born.

The main female role in the music video was played by Lithuanian actress Vaida Baranovė, who lives in Los Angeles, and whose path crossed with Ironvytas’ back in Lithuania. Currently, the actress continues her career in the United States, so during her visit, the performer offered her to join a new project. Finding time between filming and other work, Vaida agreed, and the result of the collaboration became the new music video.
Interestingly, the video was born under completely unexpected circumstances. At that time, Ironvytas and his creative team were visiting Los Angeles, where they were filming a new documentary “Street Racers: Los Angeles.” Since the main documentary characters only went out on the streets at night, there was time during the day for other creative ideas. It was decided to use authentic California locations and shoot several music videos in just a few days.

“I really like directing and editing my own music videos. This way I learn how editing works, which shots fit together, and which, although beautiful, add nothing to the story. All this experience is very useful when working on bigger projects – I better understand the cameramen, editors, and I myself see more clearly which shots might be missing. And as a producer, later I don’t have to guess why something couldn’t be edited,” Ironvytas says with a smile.
Ironvytas – “Everything is so disconnected”:
As with many of his previous works, the idea for this music video came from Ironvytas himself. In recent years, the performer has increasingly taken on not only directing but also editing tasks. The video was filmed by cameramen Maksim Vilčinskij and Donatas Sereika, with whom Ironvytas has collaborated for many years – they worked together on documentary projects, previous music videos, and the performer’s debut series.
