The celebration will begin with a hunters’ parade with flags, dogs, and an orchestra from Vilnius Town Hall to the Cathedral, and later the event activities will move to Šventaragis Valley.

“We want the celebration to be open to everyone – not just the hunting community. We invite people to come, taste game meat, see hunting dogs, get acquainted with crafts, educational activities, and just be together. It is an opportunity to meet and talk about nature, traditions, and our relationship with it,” said the event organizer, chairman of the Lithuanian Hunters’ Society Gediminas Vaitiekūnas.
Visitors at the event will enjoy free game soup and a whole roasted deer.
Event participants will also be able to watch live concerts, hunters’ awards, participate in contests, and win prizes. There will also be a crafts village at the event where visitors can get to know traditional crafts and elements of hunting culture.
Children will enjoy face painting, radio technology entertainment, and those who want to test their skills can try archery, VR hunting entertainment, and airsoft.

According to the organizers, Šventaragis Valley has been associated with hunting since ancient times. Archaeological data shows that hunters-gatherers lived in this part of Vilnius thousands of years ago, and in later Lithuanian history, a legend tells that Duke Gediminas also stayed here after hunting.
According to the event creators, the Hunters’ Festival is an opportunity for the public not only to have fun but also to get closer to hunting traditions and their place in Lithuanian culture.
