In the morning, rescuers rushed to help a woman who could not get into her apartment because her two-year-old child locked the door from the inside. In the evening, their help was needed by medics transporting a heavy patient.
At about 10:50 a.m., the General Emergency Center received a report from J. Basanavičius Street. It was reported that a two-year-old child locked the door from the inside of the apartment, and his mother could no longer get into the house.

Firefighters arriving at the scene found a woman waiting outside the door who did not have keys with her. It was decided to open the door using a circular saw and improvised tools. After entering the apartment, its owner was let inside. Fortunately, the toddler was unharmed and was safely handed over to her mother.
Firefighters received another call late in the evening. A report was received that help was needed on S. Jaugelis-Telega Street to carry out a patient weighing about 150–160 kilograms from the fifth floor.

Due to the woman’s weight, an additional fire rescue unit was called for assistance. Upon arrival, the officers safely carried the patient out of the apartment and loaded her into the ambulance.
