„Catch the Hawk“ – a heroic historical epic inspired by a true story about the Lithuanian partisan resistance and the people who chose to fight for the country’s freedom. At the center of the film is one of the most famous Lithuanian partisan leaders, Adolfas Ramanauskas-Vanagas, and his decision not to obey the occupation system. The creators aim to show not only the scale of the historical struggle but also the personal choices, relationships, inner doubts, and idealism that allowed people not to give up even when victory seemed almost impossible.

„The forest is at once a space of freedom, temporary home, and also constant traps for them. Alongside heroism, there is fear, humor, love, jealousy, fatigue, doubts, and different understandings of responsibility. We want the viewer to see the partisans not as a single generalized historical prototype but as very different, living people who had to make extraordinarily difficult decisions,“ says the film’s producer Daiva Varnaitė-Jovaišienė.
The main role of Adolfas Ramanauskas-Vanagas in the film is played by Kęstutis Cicėnas. Alongside him act Liubomiras Laucevičius, Džiugas Grinys, Andrius Žiurauskas, Giedrius Kiela, Vitalija Mockevičiūtė, Ramūnas Rudokas, Lukas Malinauskas, Darius Gumauskas, Eglė Mikulionytė, Ainis Storpirštis, Neringa Varnelytė, Aldona Vilutytė, Gabija Jaraminaitė, Barbora Bareikytė, Agnė Grudytė, and other Lithuanian actors.

The film is created by the public institution „Civic Media“, directed by Emilis Vėlyvis. Film producers are Edmundas Jakilaitis, Mantvidas Žalėnas, Daiva Varnaitė-Jovaišienė, and Asta Liukaitytė; cinematographer – Feliksas Abrukauskas (LAC); production designers – Ramūnas Rastauskas and Raimondas Dičius; costume designer – Daiva Petrulytė; makeup artist – Jurgita Globytė.

- from November 10 at 7 p.m. to November 11 at 7 a.m., from November 11 at 7 p.m. to November 12 at 7 a.m., and from November 12 at 7 p.m. to November 13 at 7 a.m. filming near the building at Birutės St. 1, temporarily (up to 3 minutes) restricting pedestrian and cyclist traffic if necessary;
- September 17 from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. filming near the building at Kaštonų St. 7, temporarily (up to 3 minutes) restricting vehicle, pedestrian, and cyclist traffic from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.; from September 18 at 3 p.m. to September 19 at 3 a.m. filming near the mentioned building and temporarily (up to 3 minutes) restricting pedestrian and cyclist traffic if necessary. From September 16 at 6 a.m. to September 19 at 5 a.m., 32 parking spaces on Kaštonų Street are reserved for filming purposes;
- November 9 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. filming at Bukčiai old cemetery (Lietaus Street), temporarily (up to 3 minutes) restricting pedestrian and cyclist traffic if necessary.
During filming, special sound and visual effects as well as imitation weapons will be used. Responsible services have been informed about the filming activities and the means used during them, so there is no need to contact them additionally.
