According to the president, this information is based on intelligence data, and it concerns possible Russian strikes on critical infrastructure in the region, which may be carried out by conventional and other means.
“There are such signals, we receive them from our services. They do not clearly identify the place or time, because it is simply impossible to determine, since the other side may not always be at the end of the planning process, and we only know about the planning itself or the goal,” G. Nausėda said in an interview with BNS.
“So yes, I cannot deny that we have such information and that it concerns kinetic-type, not large-scale, but still targeted kinetic-type operations, which are very likely to be directed at critical infrastructure objects,” he added.
According to the president, recently the protection of Lithuania’s critical transport and energy infrastructure has been strengthened.

According to the head of state, there is information about possible attacks of any kind against this infrastructure.
“All that can simply stop the functioning of these objects, since the objects themselves are important not only for themselves but also because the whole system works, specifically our synchronization with the continental European system,” G. Nausėda said.
– Let’s talk about something that probably concerns the nation even more than politics, and that is basketball. You personally know the family of Matas Buzelis, you have received them at the presidency. Matas Buzelis himself said after an unsuccessful selection window that a bird cannot fly in a cage. Again, you communicated with his parents back when Matas was actively deciding which country to represent in national team basketball. How do you think, could Matas have been disappointed by his recent experience in the national team?
