About this shock, J. Naruševičiūtė spoke on her social media accounts. The performer shared that her adult daughter was forced to return the next morning from a three-day festival in Wales because the event was abruptly stopped due to the death of a young girl from a drug overdose.

Shaken by this painful tragedy, the singer did not hide her emotions and urged all parents to be more attentive to their children.
She agreed to share the post also with the readers of the Žmonės.lt portal.
“My daughter had gone to Wales, where there was supposed to be a three-day music festival. She returned today, of course, she didn’t want to tell me over the phone because it would have been a shock for me… So when we met, she told me that instead of three days, the festival lasted one day. Everything was stopped. Why? Because an eighteen-year-old girl died from an overdose. The girl was not a user, just a local who wanted to fit in with all the cool kids who already had experience. I don’t know what drugs they were, but she said that after taking them, it’s very fun, something happens to you, life colors itself in different shades. And you can take one gram of them, but she took three at once. And the girl died. The medics could no longer revive her…”, said J. Naruševičiūtė.
The performer did not hide that this story affected her very deeply and revealed that this is not the first case she knows of a young person dying from drugs.
“This is a shock to me. Can you imagine the pain of the parents? An eighteen-year-old, a good girl, just wanted to fit in with friends…
My son had exactly the same case when he was studying at university, in his second year, he lived in a dormitory where there are five separate rooms with a shared kitchen, and one day one of his acquaintances, a very shady friend, came back, closed the door, and no one could reach him by phone… So early in the morning my son broke into his room and what he found – he found the guy dead. Exactly the same overdose, the guy was 19 years old.
I used to think that drugs only exist in movies or certain circles. But it’s cruel what’s happening. Now I already recognize them, I know what happens when people get high, that there are mood swings, I have seen how people look in groups and what they do then.
For me personally, it’s cruel. I have never used, never tried, and I will leave this world without trying, although I was mocked a lot – friends said try it, what’s the big deal. No, dear ones…”, shared the well-known woman.

J. Naruševičiūtė also urged parents to be more interested in what their children are doing and not to overlook important signs.
“I would like to warn and say – watch more carefully. Watch your children very closely, especially if you send them to studies, to festivals.
Because just to have fun, to be very cool with someone, you can lose your life…
You know, today I can’t recover, my eyes are so swollen because I really cried sincerely, I feel very sorry for that girl and her parents, who just sent her to a music festival to watch a concert and…”, J. Naruševičiūtė said tearfully.
A heated discussion immediately broke out under the post. Many of the performer’s followers did not hide their horror at the situation and sympathized with the deceased young people and their parents.
“It can’t get worse! Horror and indescribable pain for the parents,” wrote one commenter.
