“The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to strike Ukraine’s port infrastructure and maritime vessels used in the interests of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” the message on the Telegram platform reads.
After a few hours, the ministry shared a photo showing Iranian “Shahed” type attack drones with the caption “Like snow on your head.”
It also included a message directed at Ukrainians – “Winter will bring you cold.”
The ministry’s English-language account on Telegram published a photo with the same drones and the caption: “We will freeze their blood.” The short message added a famous phrase from the series “Game of Thrones” – “Winter is coming.”
As noted by the news portal “Kyiv Post,” this post is like a threat that Russia will intensify its drone attack campaign against Ukraine as soon as it gets colder.
Proposed ceasefire
On Thursday, Ukraine proposed to Russia a mutual halt to attacks on civilian vessels and port infrastructure in the Black Sea. Kyiv conveyed this proposal through an unspecified third country.

“It will backfire on them”
Andriy Kovalenko, head of Ukraine’s anti-disinformation center, reacted to the image published by Russia by stating that Russia’s message could ultimately backfire on its own people.
“The Russians already know who will be responsible when they are left without electricity or heating this winter,” emphasized A. Kovalenko.
He added that this Russian statement was essentially intended for both Russians and Ukrainians.
“All thanks to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The mirror always works. You reap what you sow,” he replied.
The Kremlin has previously used winter attacks on Ukraine’s energy system as a weapon, targeting power plants, substations, and other critical infrastructure to leave civilians without electricity, heating, and water.
