His friend Kirilas, who had trained with the athlete Timofėjus for many years, spoke about the athlete who died in the accident on the show. According to him, Timofėjus did not even know the girl driving the car on the night of the accident.

“They were not acquainted. Timofėjus left the restaurant with his group of friends, started a conversation with the girls, and Timofėjus got into that car. He liked the girl who also got into the car,” Kirilas said on the LNK show “For or Against?”.
The friend also denied rumors in the public about possible addictions of the deceased boy.
“We trained together for many years. He had no problems with drugs,” he said.
In an emotional conversation, Kirilas also recalled one of the most painful moments – saying goodbye to his friend. According to him, the words spoken by Timofėjus’s father at his son’s grave have remained in his memory to this day.
The circumstances of the tragedy were also analyzed by car experts on the LNK show “For or Against?”. Vitoldas Milius, editor-in-chief of the magazine “Auto Bild Lithuania” and car reviewer, emphasized that accidents are usually caused not by one but several factors.
“Even a non-expert would say the speed was too high. But the speed was too high because the driver was possibly intoxicated by alcohol, and that could have caused the excessive speed. We also heard that there was racing. In my understanding, an accident happens due to several components,” said V. Milius.
According to him, irresponsible behavior behind the wheel could have played a decisive role in this situation.
“When racing, a person’s emotions change drastically – the person no longer has fear and presses the accelerator pedal to the floor,” said the car expert.

Tomas Būdvytis, vice president of the Lithuanian Automobile Association, also spoke on the show about the consequences of such accidents.
“Alcohol and driving, especially exceeding the speed limit, are completely incompatible things,” said T. Būdvytis.
According to him, the consequences of a collision with an obstacle can be fatal even when driving at a much lower speed.
“When driving at 60 km/h and crashing into a tree, the chance of survival is very low. Judging by the image, it’s even strange how the driver survived,” he said.
Journalist Agnė Liubertaitė from the portal “Lrytas.lt” also shared her insights on the show. She spoke about publicly discussed facts from the suspect’s life and incidents previously under law enforcement scrutiny.
“We can assume that the girl was materially well-off – branded clothes, luxury car. I had to talk to close acquaintances who said that the girl had a so-called ‘Instagram childhood’, she was given everything possible. She also intended to study, so she was definitely not considered frivolous,” the journalist said.
