The investigation was conducted after receiving a complaint alleging that the company possibly did not register in the Manufacturers and Importers Register and did not keep records of products, packaging, and waste.
The AAD told the portal that a 20% bonus for additional workload was awarded to the head of the Vilnius district environmental protection department who conducted the investigation, based on a report from the acting head of the Trakai department leading the AAD Vilnius board. The department emphasized that more employees also received bonuses.
When “Delfi” asked E. Paužolienė herself to explain the bonus allocation, AAD stated that she is on vacation. D. Paužuolis also did not comment on the situation to the portal.
The portal reports that the bonus was given a day before the appointment of the new AAD director Edgaras Skreba. E. Paužolienė, who vacated the leadership position, will continue to work as his deputy.

As BNS wrote, E. Skreba has been leading the AAD since July 31, having won the second director competition.
The first competition was announced last year when the former department director Giedrius Kadziauskas resigned in July.
This competition was won by E. Paužolienė, but the then environment minister Kastytis Žuromskas decided to announce a new selection. This was done in February. K. Žuromskas explained that he announced the new competition because he wanted to attract more participants.
